Level Design

ARFID Master's Project

My Master's Project is a serious game that focuses on ARFID, an Eating Disorder, and the mental health affects it can have on someone. In this Interactive Experience, the player will be getting a deep dive into my own mind, the mind of someone who has suffered from ARFID for their entire life, and will see firsthand how ARFID can affect the mind if left untreated.

The goal of the game was to create something that showed the true depth of ARFID's reach on someone and to get people talking about ARFID and/or Eating Disorders in general. ARFID especially isn't widely known or talked about, and I wanted to try and raise awareness of it in the process.

Level Design Test

This level was a Level Design Test that I had a week to complete originally. Recently, I have gone back and made a few adjustments to the camera and lighting of the scene, but otherwise the layout has been unchanged. For this Design Test, I was given a prompt to create a short 3-5 minute level through a outdoor SWAT/Police Training Course, for a 3rd-person shooter set in a post apocalyptic game.

My goal with this was to make a level that required the player to stop and think before they just ran in, guns blazing. With a good mix of stealth and combat, the player has plenty of choices depending on their own personal playstyles.
